Welcome to Anima Poetica: The Soul of Poetry!
This Cruz Poética chest of knowledge serves as your resource bank, gratis, particularly and especially if you are a poet wannabe (like me) seeking to at least be a “poetaster laureate,” “versifier par excellence,” or somebody more celebrated than that.
Some nuggets of information you can indulge in here—although most are currently works in progress—are:
- 1001 Proverbs To Kick-Start Your Poetry-Writing Journey
- 10001+ Poetry Prompts for Almost All Ages, Occupations, and Lifestyles
- The A-to-Z Guide for Poets Wannabe
To get you out of the blocks and into the groove, here is a hopefully rousing poem:
101 REASONS TO WRITE POETRY
In language, you will likely find
A place to set your spirit free—
One hundred one are reasons real
To write and share fine poetry.
For Reason One, there go the Sun,
The Moon, the stars, eternal skies;
Celestial bodies quite inspire:
Your dreams and hopes, they symbolize.
For Reason Two, there go the Earth
And gems from every continent;
Four corners all, the Seven Seas:
Your needs and wants, they represent.
For Reason Three, there is the Self,
Where reasons next, you are to claim;
A treasure-trove of thinks and feels—
The good, the bad, the wild, the tame.
Manna Cruz.
